Course Content
Japanese
Classes are arranged according to student ability. We aim to train students to use Japanese in reading and writing as well as listening and speaking environments. We encourage students to speak actively in lessons in order to build up their conversational skills. In some courses we utilize a ¡§special small class system¡¨ for individual oral teaching. In addition, we also give guidance for taking the Japanese Qualification Examination, as well as other university enrolment examinations. Effort is also made to improve students paper writing skills. We also hold interview practices to increase student confidence and prepare students for future admissions and employment interviews.

Japan National Conditions¡]prescribed course¡^
It aims at teaching students the geographical environment, historical background, politics, economy and social cultural aspects of Japan. The variation of four seasons, weddings and funerals, festivals and sacrificial rites and modern youngsters' fashionable tastes,all these can be learnt through image teaching in this course.

English ¡]elective course¡^
Students may have to use English in general promotion tests or enrolment tests of universities. Therefore, in order to enhance students' application ability of English, our school follows the example of Japanese course, i.e. to arrange classes according to the English ability of students. We also adopt small class teaching to enhance learning efficiency.

¡§Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students¡¨(elective course¡^
1. Integrated Course (Arts Stream) target in training students for Japan University of laws, business, art, literature etc. It also aims at strengthening the reasoning and integrating theory ability of students.
2. Engineering Course¡]Science Stream¡^ include physics, chemistry and biology. Students can freely elect related subjects according to their interests.
3. Mathematics¡]Arts Stream¡DScience Stream¡^aims at training the mathematics ability of students according to their future promotion to arts stream, science stream or other polytechnic stream.

Evaluation System
The evaluation system is based on the peacetime academic results of students and their Japanese abilities. Class placement will be interview-based, after which students will be comprehensively graded based on exam results from the midterm and final, attendance, and their study attitude. The exact arrangement of classes each term is not finalized until we receive new student information.

There is a graduation qualifying examination at the end of the course. Students will receive graduation certificates if they meet both the test and attendance qualifications. Outstanding students will be recognized during the graduation ceremony.

Academic and Career Guidance
We provide the latest entrance examinations from Japanese research institutes and graduate schools (about 200), universities (about 600), short term universities (about 440) and technical institutes (about 2100) for students who would like to pursue further studies. In addition to arranging information sessions and promotional talks for students, we also provide personal academic guidance for individual students. Moreover, Tokyo International University invites professors from different faculties to come to our school to introduce course content and related information to our students. There are also forums held by graduates to share personal experiences and insight with current students.
