Introduction of Affiliated Japanese School

Japanese School was set up in 1987 as an affiliated school of Tokyo International University, in order to provide language classes to exchange students coming to TIU from abroad. TIU maintains sister-school relationships with universities in eleven countries, allowing for a broad international exchange of both students and professors.

University affiliated Japanese schools provide their students the best preparatory instruction for university, college, and technical school entrance exams. Our curriculum and flexible course arrangement caters to the diversified motives of our students. Further, our language courses exceed the statutory 760 classroom hours of instruction.

Through substantial course arrangement, and careful counseling by staff and professors, our graduates are able to gain admission into the Japanese university of their choice. Tokyo International University, Gakushuin Woman's College, Bunka Women’s University, Toyo University and other tertiary institutes also have set up recommended study programs with our school, allowing our graduates priority enrollment at these institutions.

Our Japanese school is the only Japanese school in Japan jointly recognize by the Education Department, Legal Department, Tokyo Education Department and Japanese Education Development Association. In addition to receiving a one year or longer student visa, our students are regarded as full time university students. They can enjoy special discounts for monthly transportation tickets, greatly easing the economic burden of the students. The Japanese national health insurance is also available for students from abroad.

Moreover, the overseas office of our school, alumni association and parents association also provide excellent information services for students and parents.
